About Me

Hi, I’m Willow — yes, like the tree (or an '80s hippie), but plot twist - I’m actually named after my grandpa William. That duality kind of sums me up: a mix of wise old soul and curious childlike adventurer, always seeking a sense of belonging.

I’ve been performing since before I knew what “performing” meant. As a kid growing up in upstate New York, I’d write, direct, and star in living room plays - whispering directions to my siblings mid-scene.

That early spark has grown into a full-blown creative life — one that’s taken me from Off-Broadway stages to international training residencies in Italy, Scotland, France, and Japan. I thrive at the intersection of travel and performance — two passions that have always informed and deepened each other in my life and work.

That same passion for storytelling and connection has carried me across mediums. I earned my BFA in Acting (with a Writing minor) from Emerson College in Boston, where I created and performed two original solo shows — Leave My Heart Its Song and What It Means to Be Free — both based on true stories.

Since graduating, I’ve had my first commissioned play read Off-Broadway with NewYorkRep and adapted What It Means to Be Free into a screenplay that was a finalist at the Harlem International Film Festival.

Through my playwriting, I often explore what tools people use to survive and hold onto their humanity in dehumanizing circumstances. I'm reminded I'm exactly where I belong when audience members thank me for making them feel seen and understood through my work.

I find contradictions within humans fascinating, and I often play women who are caring, curious, and full of enthusiasm and childlike innocence  — wrapped in sass and drive.

Now based in NYC, I’m immersed in the vibrant world of new work. I’m a resident actor for the playwriting incubator Playground-NY, and also a member of the All Star Project’s Untitled Play Lab where I've workshopped my own pieces and support the creation of new work at all stages of development.

I'm drawn to stories that make people think in new ways and start conversations. That create empathy, understanding and connection where none existed before. And in the end, that offer a sense of belonging, hope, and maybe even a little bit of magic.

Thanks for being here. Let the adventure continue!
